You know what? If y’all actually knew anything about the economy, you’d know that in order to grow the economy, the banks have to get more money. That money’s then multiplied as it goes into the system. And government spending? It increases demand, which increases a country’s GDP. Y’all think the government is just so bad, but it’s doing what’s best for the economy as a whole. Not little shits who get pissed ‘cause they can’t buy their fucking Prada.
Yep. This is about “little shits who want to buy prada.” It’s nothing to do with the fact that the banking system of the world manipulated the interest rates of loans, and bundled the debts they coerced the poor in to taking, knowing they couldn’t pay it off, causing them to bleed them for all the money they could get playing hot potato with the massive bundles of sub prime mortgages from bank to bank until they all got caught with their pants down and almost destroyed the entire worldwide economy and drove even people in the west in to abject poverty and drove countless people to homelessness, which was then handled by the government literally giving those same banks billions and billions of dollars (out of your pocket by the way), didn’t arrest or even accuse a single banker of any crime of any kind, and in fact didn’t even really give them any particularly strenuous guidelines about what to do with that money (meaning that that money was used to become fancy bonus packages for CEOs, much like it was for Ford and GE).

American paratroopers, photographed by Capa just after he had landed himself, drift down in a cultivated field east of the Rhine. The planes which have dropped them have already traveled out of the picture to the left. On the ground the parachutes of men who have landed are collapsing. As they have been trained, the men crumple to ease the shock as they hit the ground. Most of these parachutes are a speckled camouflage green. Parachutes which are dropped with supplies are brightly colored so what they carry can be identified easily from a distance.

My light installations use the camera obscura as a point of departure. they are immersive optical environments, idealized spaces with discreet openings. in translating the outside world into moving fields of light and color, the projections make an argument for an unfixed notion of sight. motion emphasizes the vitality of these projections. whether through the slow arc of the sun, the kinetic pace of pedestrian traffic, or a sometimes easy pulse of wind, each work responds to an environment in flux.
